Connecticut Water Donates $120,000 in 2023 Through Charitable Giving Program
CLINTON, Conn., Jan. 11, 2024 — Connecticut Water, through its employee led charitable giving team, awarded approximately $120,000 to charitable organizations, most locally-based in the company’s Connecticut service area. Food banks and pantries received $18,500 in 2023. Other causes supported by the committee include local schools and fire departments, social service agencies and youth programs. All donations are funded by the company and do not come from the water rates paid by customers.
“Connecticut Water and its employees are committed to serving their customers and neighbors in the communities where we live and work,” stated Connecticut Water President Craig J. Patla. He added, ‘The charitable organizations we support make our communities a better place and, like water service, are integral to healthy and thriving communities. We are pleased to be a force for good.”
