During the week of Jan. 27 Connecticut Water will begin a $1.5 million project to install new water main in South Windsor in the Woodland Park area.

Connecticut Water acquired more than 125 acres of land as open space in Prospect and Tolland as part of the company’s continued commitment to protecting our customers’ sources of drinking water.

In 2024, Connecticut Water proactively replaced more than 93,500 feet of water main through the Water Infrastructure and Conservation Adjustment (WICA) program as part of ongoing efforts to increase reliability and quality for our customers.

Connecticut Water recently completed the final transfer of 6 parcels, totaling more than 82 acres of land, no longer needed for water supply purposes to the Borough of Naugatuck, The Town of Prospect, the Bethany Land Trust, and the Killingworth Land Conservation Trust, ensuring the land will remain protected open space in perpetuity.

The Connecticut Construction Industries Association recognized Connecticut Water with three prestigious awards – a Platinum Safety Award and a Safety Recognition Award for the company’s safety program as well as a Community Service Award for assembling portable water filters to improve clean water access across the globe.

Connecticut Water, through its employee led charitable giving team, awarded approximately $120,000 among more than 70 charitable organizations, most locally-based in the company’s Connecticut service area.
